Rent a Car for Test Drives
You've got an eye on that cool SUV but they wouldn't allow you to test drive the car for more than a couple of hours? You can try your luck at bargaining for a longer period, but there's possibly another way. Check your local car rental shop and see if they have your car for rent. Smaller shops will most likely not have the latest and biggest wheels, but the more established ones may carry them.
Sure, it's not gonna be for free, but you'll have the chance to test drive it for a longer drive, even for a couple of days if you so desire. It will give you an opportunity to get the feel of the car under different road conditions, day or night, rain or shine, within the city, or out on the freeway. After all, if you're going to invest several thousands of dollars on a new toy, would you want to make sure it's really what you want?
